INTERCEDE

Starting: March 1, 2025
Ending: February 28, 2029

INTERCEDE aims to improve the value of Europe’s forests by identifying and promoting market-based solutions that incentivise forest owners to manage their land for the benefit of society.

These benefits, known as forest ecosystem services (FES), include essential services like climate change mitigation and water management, as well as recreational and cultural opportunities.

ELO contributes to the project by bringing in landowner perspectives in the design of marke-based instruments for forest ecosystem services, as well as in policy recommendation formation and communication activities.

Funded by the European Union. Views and opinions expressed are however those of the author(s) only and do not necessarily reflect those of the European Union. The European Union cannot be held responsible for them.
