European Bee Award
The European Bee Award call for applications opens in June.
Initiated in 2014, the Bee Award is committed to find common solutions for the benefit of biodiversity by rewarding projects protecting pollinators. This award is made possible through the joint support of ELO and John Deere.
2 prizes are awarded:
- Innovative technological solutions (€ 4,000 prize)
- Special Mention of the Jury (diploma of recognition)
In 2025, the European Bee Award will highlight and reward projects that demonstrate innovative technological solutions aimed at protecting pollinators. The winning project will receive a €4,000 prize, a diploma of recognition, and will benefit from visibility through the communication channels of both ELO and John Deere.
We invite applications that focus on reducing the impact of farming operations on bees and other pollinators through technology. Particular attention will be given to projects that introduce new technologies or innovative uses of existing tools to better safeguard pollinators—especially during key farming activities such as crop protection applications or harvesting. In addition to the main award, the jury will grant a Special Mention in the form of a diploma to recognise an outstanding small-scale, original, or grassroots initiative.
